On the afternoon of September 25th, the International College held the “Advanced Class and Corporate Scholarship Evaluation Meeting”for the 2023-2024 academic year on the third-floor auditorium of the International College building. Attending the event were Xing Xiaoming, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the International College; Wang Minghua, Deputy Secretary of the Committee; Tang Xiaojun, Vice Dean; Xie Boqing, Lei YuZhou, and Zhang Yuqiong, counselors of the International College; as well as student representatives from various grades and classes who served as judges for the event.

As the event began, the host announced the competition rules, emphasizing the principles of fairness and justice to ensure the quality of the selection process.

The first part of the event was the competition for Advanced Classes. Ten classes showcased their achievements through five-minute presentations, highlighting their teamwork, ideological cultivation, and honors winning. The passionate and confident speeches of the class representatives won rounds of applause from the audience, demonstrating the outstanding performance and positive atmosphere of each contending class.

The second part of the event was the competition for the International College’s JUFE Friendship Scholarship. Participants delivered three-minute self-introduction speeches during which they showcased their academic achievements, personal honors, and growth experiences. The contestants received recognition from the audience and judges, and owing to their own distinct characteristics and their youthful energy, they became a vivid illustration of the striving students of JUFE.

At the end of the event, Mr. Xing Xiaoming delivered a summary speech. He highly praised the significance of the event and expressed his hope that more outstanding International College students stand on this stage in the future, learning from each other and making continuous progress through participation in such selection activities.

The series of evaluation and selection activities of the International College came to a successful conclusion. The holding of this series of activities reflects the International College's atmosphere of hard work and pragmatism, the united and cohesive class atmosphere, and the positive image of the students. International students will take the contenders of the awards and scholarships as their role models and will draw on the experiences of these participants for inspiration and to continue to strive for excellence.
